Hello. My name is Velva and I am the heart and creative vision behind We’ve Got You Covered! Event Decor & More. What began as a simple desire to help others has blossomed into a purpose-filled business rooted in faith, love, and service, specializing in celebration planning and event decor.
Before stepping into the world of event planning and design, I served in the nursing field, where I cared for others with compassion and dedication. In 2019, I felt a gentle calling to step away and focus more on my family. During that season, I began volunteering to decorate events—doing whatever I could to make people feel celebrated, seen, and special. What I didn’t realize at the time was that God was planting the seeds for something far greater.
With a background in Nursing, along with degrees in Business and Psychology, I bring both heart and structure to everything I do. I don’t just decorate spaces—I create environments filled with warmth, joy, and meaning. Every detail is thoughtfully designed with my clients in mind, and every event is approached with prayer, care, and purpose, ensuring a memorable experience for all.
In 2025, I took a leap of faith and officially launched We’ve Got You Covered! Event Decor & More. Trusting God every step of the way, I turned my passion into a business dedicated to serving others and celebrating life’s most meaningful moments through exceptional event planning.
At home, I am a devoted wife, a proud mother of eight, and a joyful grandmother. My husband, a retired Army veteran with 24 years of service, has been a constant source of strength and encouragement throughout my journey. Together, we have built a life grounded in faith, family, and resilience.
For me, this business is more than décor—it’s ministry. It’s about creating spaces where love is felt, memories are made, and people come together in meaningful ways. Whether it’s a small gathering or a grand celebration, my goal is simple: to serve with excellence, love deeply, and give God the glory in all I do.
